Team members admire and they follow. They look up to you and they go, man, if you change the switch and you decide to make a complete beeline for something else, I’m with you. I’m so with you. have ups and downs in your leadership ability, that wavers, that creates a challenge. So, they’re going to respect you. Like if we say morning huddle, we say morning huddle starts at 730, and we have team members showing up 732, 733, 731, right? And then we’re saying, hey, you’ve got to be here, you’ve got to be here, you’ve got to be here. And they’re late every single day, okay? And then, you know what happens to you? One time,
01:55
You show up at 733, you do it one time and what happens? Ah, see? You told me all those times you told me I had to be here on time and look at you. You’re thinking, man, one time. That’s that character consistently. And just like today, we’re on camera the whole time today. They’re watching you like kids. They’re watching you like your children. They’re your peers, but they’re watching you like kids to see if you are maintaining that character that you said you need from them.

that you want from them. They’re paying attention to all of that. So, if you have great leadership skills, they’re going to watch and listen and pay attention.
