I’m Shelly VanEpps, the VP of Business Growth and Development and a Mastery Coach here with All-Star Dental Academy. And I just wanted to talk with you today about something so important. And that’s the frustration that so many doctors have with regards to things getting done in their practice. It’s one of those items that comes around and coaching call after coaching call, why isn’t anything being done in my practice? What is happening when I’m chair side?
00:31
what are the ladies or the gentlemen doing to serve the patients? What’s happening out there? Right? And so we wonder this. And what I’ve come to is that most of the time, it’s a matter that that particular doctor or office manager or whomever has identified that they don’t have an integrator. They don’t have somebody on their team that has this in them where they take action.
00:57
They don’t wait for direction. They don’t have to be told what needs to happen before they actually do it. They are given the criteria, they’re given the parameters, and then they run with it. And so what I’m encouraged by is that there’s a process. There’s something that can be done. And not every team member is an integrator. You have people on your team who are there to care for patients, and they do an amazing job at it. They make sure that every one of your patients walks out.
01:27
feeling well taken care of and you need and want that. So don’t be discouraged when you realize or when you identify that you don’t have an entire team of integrators. You need those people who are caring for your patients. But what you do need is at least one person on your side as the visionary, as the doctor, as the owner, this one person who’s going to make sure that things are happening for you. You give them the direction.
01:54
They take it, they run with it. They make sure that your office is functioning very, very well. And that’s ultimately what you need. And that’s a process. Sometimes it’s somebody who just is early on in their engagement within that, and they don’t realize that’s who they are. They don’t realize that when they’re given the authority that they’re going to be able to make this happen.
02:18
And so you really need to assess your team, assess your new candidates that you’re bringing on to your team and determine, is this the right person? Is this who they are? Is this what they love to do and what they’re really good at? And if they can say yes, and there’s a test, there’s an assessment that we can go through here with All-Star that helps you to identify that. We have a team of coaches who are fantastic at this. And so identifying that person and then nurturing them.
02:45
helping them along the way and encouraging them to become your integrator. So until next time, go out there and be an All-Star. We hope you enjoyed this episode of Dental All-Stars. Visit us online at allstardentalacademy.com.
