This is Dental All-Stars, where we bring you the best in dentistry on marketing, management, and training. Hello friends, welcome to another fun video on your weekly motivational moments with Eric Vickery, president of coaching at All-Star Dental Academy. And this week, I wanna talk to you about how the answer always lies in effective communication. Now, what am I talking about?
00:30
Well, we run into a lot of challenges. We run into mistakes, we run into failures, we run into drama, we run into team conflict, we run into patient issues, bad reviews. So anytime you have something negative, a challenge, a frustration that comes in, remember, the answer doesn’t lie in communication, the answer lies in effective communication. So what I mean by that is you could

always communicate with someone the wrong way. Could be tone of voice, it could be you sent a message. It could be even something simple like, hey, I need to talk to you about something later. And then you walk away. That’s not effective communication. So remember your permission statement, remember your crucial conversations. Those are things, steps and systems that you wanna use to empower one another. So here’s my challenge for you this week. What is something that’s been
01:28
What’s something that’s been lasting? Could be within your team members. It could be something that’s going on with a patient and you know you need to just face that music. You need to really get into it and say right. I’m going to get in in person with this. This person one on one, maybe with a mediator and I’m going to have an effective communication conversation with them. Do yourself a favor. Start like this. Say you know Ricky Bobby. I want us to be the best.

team possible. I want us to work together the best. And so I want to sit down and have a conversation with you and figure out how to do that even better. We’re already really good. I want to figure out how to get better. That’s beginning with the end in mind. You lead with a permission statement. So that’s how you can start the conversation. Then you can start sharing something. Remember your tone of voice. Remember to lead with something that shows, hey, in the end, we’re going to be even better. All right. Have a great week, guys. We hope you enjoyed this episode of Dental All-Stars.
